We stand in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. We are saddened by the injustices that people face over and over again in the US.
Black lives matter because they are human lives. And, in recognition of the tremendous and unfair struggles they face, we must all be a part of the solution to change this unfortunate reality of inequality.
Our YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities and financial circumstances. Programs and branches embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of our community.
Financial assistance is available for qualified members through the Financial Assistance program, funded by the Y Annual Campaign and United Way of Monroe County. We are community-based and believe that our programs should be available for everyone.
Please ask for a financial scholarship application at the Member Services Desk or click here for PDF. The process is completely confidential. Some limitations apply to the amount of scholarship we are able to provide in programs. Certain minimums are applied to program scholarship awards. Those receiving financial assistance are expected to utilize the assistance and to keep track of programs and classes in which they participate. Failure to utilize the award or track participation will result in revocation or nonrenewal of the award.
